The staff was very friendly. We were up graded to a room w/3 beds. The room was a bit snug but clean. Great value for the price.
For the price paid in NYC - No. I would stay again
-
Rooms were clean and functional. Small, but to be expected in the city. Side street meant the room was quiet. Perfectly adequate accommodations at a great price.
The elevators were slow. Housekeeping came very late inthe day.

We were very pleased with what we got. All the previous reviews were spot on and the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff was excellent. The room for our family was right at the top and so there was no noise to contend with. We would go back again and would tell people about this hotel.
The only things that we would note were that the breakfast room was being renovated. I think we should have been told that as it made everything a little congested. The distance from Penn station is a 25 minute walk if you have children. About 20 for adults. It is easy enough to do but if you are off an international flight it is not the 'short' walk as suggested. I think also a large subway map in the foyer would be good. You could see that 23rd street is the best to get on. Eating out as a family is limited in the immediate area. We had to look around a bit. Once again the foyer could have quick information relevant to the immediate area so that people can see what is available. But these are small things. We will use this hotel again and tell others about it.

My room was clean.
The windows were so dirty I couldn't see out of them. The breakfast room was so tiny it was very crowded. The lifts were very slow.In general a very tired run down establishment.I Would have been embarrassed to take anyone there

Enough room for a family of 5
Old and outdated room. Location and parking could have been better.
-
Location. Was right near the conference I was attending.
Small Rooms. Old "chopped up" layout. Could hear everything going on in the hall. Window had no view, looked out into an ally.
-
Family room was great especially with 2 teenagers. Close to subway and attractions. Breakfast was perfect for tourists who want to get out and sightsee. Reception was good when our flight was cancelled and rescheduled for late arrival.
Tour guide in lobby did not know street address locations in Manhattan which sent me 10 blocks further than I needed to go.
-
Room size was small. AC location not good. Toilet was very small.
-
The location is excellent - very convenient to travelling uptown or downtown Manhattan
Realizing this is an older building, our rooms could have been a little cleaner.
-
the location
it smell to much smoke
-
It was walking distance to Times Square
The room needs some maintanence
-
Corridors in bad shape. Dirty . Breakfast very poor in bad area
-
The room was perfect for a stay in NYC compared to other pricy options. The validated parking right around the corner made rhe drive into the city reasonable. Other hotels were booked at the time of making on line reservations. This was a pleasant surprise. Will stay here again.
Breakfast area not large enough to accommodate guests during busy breakfast hour.

Great location - 4 subways within 6-7 mins walk. Larry the handyman - really helpful and patient. Best Hotel employee we came across on a long and varied trip Surprising quiet.
Hotel staff (excepting the Russian lady) new nothing of vicinity. Its a pile em high hotel - but you choose this for price and location not luxury. ideal for families with bigger kids.

Hotel was very close the heard of the Manhattan.
Hotel rooms stuff were too old. Television's were too old generation and there was no international chanel. Aircondation units were too old and too noisy to sleep in the room. All electrical cables edges were open! Parking at this area too expensive to park the car.
